Felix

Meet Felix — a truly wonderful boy who was rescued from Roswell, NM Animal Control just hours before he was scheduled to be euthanized. Now safe and thriving, he’s ready to find his forever home.
Felix is a 2‑year‑old Labrador/Shepherd mix, neutered, vaccinated, and full of love. He’s an eager‑to‑please pup who is highly food‑motivated and absolutely adores puzzle toys that make him work for his treats. He loves being the center of attention and isn’t shy about letting you know when he feels someone else is stealing “his” spotlight.
This boy has energy for days — he could run forever if you let him. He zooms laps around the dog park and happily plays with my Maltipoo, Charlie, for as long as Charlie can keep up. He enjoys stuffed toys (though they don’t survive long) and is an enthusiastic chewer who loves his Bones and Chews.
Felix would thrive with active owners who enjoy long walks, runs, or hikes. He is not good with cats or small animals, but he has done well with my 20‑lb dogs and with older, confident male dogs who can give him appropriate corrections.
He loves pets, treats, exploring new scents, and running in open spaces — a home with a big backyard would be a dream for him. Felix knows his basic commands (sit, down, wait) and patiently sits and waits for his meals.
Felix is searching for his person — someone who will love him, guide him, and let him be the loyal best friend he’s meant to be.
